This series of work is going to be a part of my independent exhibition in March 2024. I use surreal and grotesque imageries as metaphors for psychological pain to demonstrate how mental issues are tangible and can affect the physiology of the body. Painting with a visually fatiguing monochromatic red palette, I want to make the audience feel uncomfortable to resonate with my mental struggle.
