Welcome to a world where the earth is no longer safe...

This is a worldbuilding project in a post-apocalyptic world where fungus, transformed into sentient, flesh-consuming creatures, has taken over the land. Instead of passive decomposers, they actively hunt human and animals as their prey. Human are forced to move underground and wear protective bodysuits to prevent them from inhaling spores when they go outside to find food and water. 

Through a series of watercolor illustration and archival materials, I aim to design and visualize both the grotesque beauty of these new life forms and imagine how humanity adapt to them.
